Full time courses of French for foreign students

These courses are open to all foreigners wishing to learn or improve their French : individuals, over 18 or with a diploma giving access to the university in the home country, or groups with a specific programme. .

These courses are divided into 7 levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) according to the European framework (p. 22,23, 24).
Each level is a 13-week course with a classtime of 18 to 20 hours a week, i.e. a total of 220-250 hours.

At the end of each term, students who pass the examinations receive the following university diplomas :

Level1 : Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises A1 (DUEF A1)
Level 2 : Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises A2 (DUEF A2)
Level 3: Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises B1 1ère partie (DUEF B1 1ère partie)
Level 4 : Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises B1 2ème partie (DUEF B1 2ème partie)
Level 5 : Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises B2 (DUEF B2)
Level 6 : Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises C1 (DUEF C1)
Level 7 : Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises C2 (DUEF C2)

The university schoolyear is divided into terms. Therefore, students can register either for the fall term (often called “1st term”), the spring term (often called “2nd term”) or the both.
