News for residence permits

Since September 17, 2020, the first applications and extensions of student residence permits can be submitted electronically via a national service available at the following address:

https://administration-etrangers-en-france.interieur.gouv.fr/particuliers/#/

To help international students in their process on this platform, the Department of International Relations of the University of Poitiers has established the following email address:  information-formalitesmigratoires@univ-poitiers.fr. International students are invited to use it if they have any questions.

International students who do not wish to use this platform can, for a few weeks, submit their applications at the office of the “Préfecture de la Vienne” by booking an appointment through the following link: http://www.vienne.gouv.fr/Demarches-administratives/Etrangers/Accueil-des-etrangers-a-la-prefecture-de-la-Vienne2

CAUTION: the slots for appointments will be limited and this mode of submission is susceptible to generate longer delays. This is why the Prefecture encourages students to submit their applications in a electronic way.

The applications received at the Prefecture must be absolutely complete, otherwise they will not be considered.

The Prefecture specifies that all applications are processed according to the expiry date of the visa or residence permit. All applications transmitted, whether they are electronic or received in person, will be processed. Delays in processing may vary according to the number of applications they receive.
